I
had some custom stickers made for the bus. And I found some
of the original Westy stickers, for the pop top, spare tire
cover and the electric outlet lid. I also installed the missing
seals/beads that go behind the slider door cover and opposite.

I
got a new city water cover from GoWesty and I installed a second
interior light that runs off of city power when we are camping...
thanks to Bill Monk for sending me this, what a nice guy!!! |

| I
finally got the stereo in, and it rocks!! I bought a Kenwood
cd player from a friend, and there are 8 Pioneer speakers in
all, pushed by a Jensen 300 watt amp. The amp is hidden in the
compartment under the z-bed armrest. I removed the rear panel
in the back hatch and made this custom speaker bar. These are
Pioneer 6" full range speakers (shown without their covers).
Both Joel Wilson and Bill Monk sent me some of the original
green plaid covers so I used my old matress, that was burnt
from an engine fire on the bottom, to cover this speaker bar
and the speaker box below.

I
had a pair of Pioneer truck speakers boxes...but they wouldn't
fit under the z-bed. So I constructed a new box and covered
it with the plaid. It holds 8" Pioneer subs and tweeters.
I made the box to fit under the z-bed, but it can be pulled
out when camping. I Also added a new GoWesty radio antannae.

| The
previous owner had speakers installed in the headliner...but
they weren't hooked up. I can see why!! There is no way to wire
them without a lot of work. I replaced them with these 4"
round Pioneer speakers and the wiring actually goes the length
of the headliner, through the cabinet, under the bus and back
up to the stereo...nearly 35 ft of wiring for each one to go
to a stereo thats 4 ft away!! I never could get them to go through
the windshield channel...believe me I tried. I put some 3 x
6 Pioneers in the doors because the holes were already there.
