Well it's been a year now since I bought Sunshine. The bus has proven to be a pretty good one. It's a real pretty bus and I added the hightop to suit my needs, but lately I have been working on some of the mechanicals. The right tie rod gave out and I replaced that. John Baird tought me how to replace my brake pads. I have been working on the engine lately. The engine in Sunshine is actually from a 1968 VW 411. And although it runs like a champ, it had some oil leaks. Below are some pics of the engine being sealed and the engine bay being refurbished. Hula Lou came over and resprayed my engine bay....what a difference!!!

In the works is a 2 litre engine I pulled from a bus in the junkyard. It only had 120k miles on it and I am planning to slowly rebuild it and install it in Sunshine sometime in 2005. Here is a list of all the parts I will need for the rebuild. Michael Knight (right) helped me to split the case. It might be a year before I have the rebuild done, but this is a start!
